BOYNE CUP 2018   21/07/2018

THE BOYNE CUP 2018

Now that the World Cup is out of the way the serious football of the Summer can begin.

The real superstars of football will be gathering in Gormanston in the county of Meath for the Boyne Cup over the weekend of the 20th to the 22nd July 2018.

The world’s press and media will be there. Maradona is rumoured to be there as a Boyne Cup ambassador while there is also talk of Roy Keane taking on Ian Wright as part of an elaborate Opening Ceremony. However that particular contest has the looks of a Christians v The Lions variety and has been ruled out on health grounds. Ian Wright’s health!

But the ADSL will be there!

Well 31 players from our Under-11 ETP will take part playing as two teams in the 9-a-side Under-11 Tournament.

We have been training over the last few weeks but what with holidays and all not everyone has been there all of the time.

This will be the first time away for this Group and there is great excitement. We travel on Friday afternoon, staying in Gormanston Park and play matches on Saturday and Sunday and come home on Sunday evening. We will have 5 games each day in what should be a great adventure.

So the very best of good luck to the ADSL Under-11’s for a great weekend.
