Good Friday, and a simply
glorious sunny day.
It was an early start and we
were down for breakfast for 8.00am and on our bus by 9.00am for a hectic day.
We first headed to Burnley
for a game against a local Academy. If the facilities yesterday were not great
they were simply first class...

We were all down for
breakfast for 9.00am. Well most of us were.
The goalkeepers appear to
operate in a different time zone!

is slightly complicated but the alarm did work but the snooze function would
just not co-operate and somehow went off...
Easter 2014 and
23 players from the ADSL Under-14 Development Academy travel to England. This
is their story. Most of it is true. It is based on real events.

District Schoolboy/Girl League has been drawn in Group 6 of the 2014 Kennedy
Cup alongside Limerick District, Donegal and Clare in the biggest schoolboy
football tournament in the country which takes place in the University of

The weather again
played havoc with the ADSL Fixture List but it was still a hugely successful
weekend with two huge Cup wins with AC Francis progressing to the last sixteen
of the Under-14 SFAI Cup (see separate Match Report) while St. Josephâs made it
a great weekend at U-14 level by beating Galway giants Salthill Devon in...
The Athlone District
Schoolboy/Girl League, in association with the Athlone Institute of Technology,
